Cub Scouts

CUB SCOUT NEWS

Our 5th grade AoL Webelos II Scouts in Cub Scout Pack 7 experienced what it is like to be an older Boy Scout at a Webelos Day Camp, on Saturday, December 5th, at Ogeechee Canal & Trail Park. Six senior Boy Scouts and three Adult Leaders from Troop 7 were there to teach our 8 AoL Webelos II Scouts how to light lanterns and stoves, how to build a campfire, how to prepare and cook a meal over a campfire, how to tie very useful knots, how to properly use a pocketknife and sharpen it, and how to operate in a patrol unit as a team. They also learned how to conduct a respectful American Flag Retirement Ceremony as part of a campfire program, which they planned and led. What a wonderful time for all!
