I see His footsteps in the way, And follow them through darkest night, Unafraid, I stumble not, In the glow of perfect light, I see.  I walk in footsteps of His love, And find His light leads on before, Then He gently turns to me, Softly whispers, "Trust Me more."  I walk.  Then as I follow in His way, My path ahead will brightly shine, For in His path of guiding light, I find His footsteps first, then mine.

Lord, help me be Your servant.  Make me strong and help me seek Your truth.  When I am lost and searching for an answer, Lord help me turn to You.  Lord, help me be Your servant.  Keep me safe and help me find my way.  When I am weak and trying to be faithful, Lord, guide me through the day. You are my Rock and my Salvation.  On You alone my faith will surely stand.  I face each day with joyful expectation because my life is in Your hands.  Lord, help me be Your servant.  Give me hope and help me to believe.  As I go forth to share Your love and kindness, Lord, do Your work through me.  You are my Rock.  On You my faith will stand.  I face each day with joyful expectation because my life is in Your hands.  Lord, help me be Your servant.  Touch my life and make my spirit new.  I lift my song; my grateful heart rejoices in thanks and praise to You.

If thou but suffer God to guide thee, And hope in Him through all thy ways, He'll give thee strength whate'er betide thee, And bear thee through the evil days; Who trusts in God's unchanging love Builds on the Rock that naught can move. Only be still and wait His leisure in cheerful hope, with heart content To take whate'er thy Father's pleasure And all discerning love hath sent; Nor doubt our inmost wants are known.  To Him who chose us for His own.  Sing, pray and keep His ways unswerving; In all thy labor faithful be, And trust His Word, though undeserving, Thou yet shalt find it true for thee; God never yet forsook in need.  The soul that trusts in Him indeed.

Christ upon the mountain peak stands alone in glory blazing, Let us, if we dare to speak, with the saints and angels praise him Alleluia!  Trembling at his feet we saw Moses and Elijah speaking.  All the prophets and the Law shout through them their joyful greeting Alleluia!  Swift the cloud of glory came, God, proclaiming in its thunder Jesus as his Son by name!  Nations, cry aloud in wonder!  Alleluia!  This is God's beloved Son.  Law and prophets before him, first and last and only One.  Let creation now adore him!  Alleluia!

No fragrance fills the air as the Rose of Sharon, No light can shine so bright as the Morning Star, No drink can quench the thirst as the Living Water, There is none like my Lord. What would cause the King of Heaven to leave His throne above, Suffer to serve the lowest sinner? Only love. No sacrifice atones like the Lamb of Glory, No food can satisfy as the Bread of Life, No greater tune to sing than the name of Jesus, there is none like my Lord. What can I hope to give to the King of Glory? What could He want from such a wretch like me? I have but one small gift I alone can offer, Here is one for my Lord. When life is done, may I be one like my Lord.

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, weak and wounded, sick and sore; Jesus ready stands to save you, full of pity, love and power.  REFRAIN: I will arise and go to Jesus; He will embrace me with His arms; in the arms of my dear Savior, O there are ten thousand charms.

Come, ye weary, heavy laden, lost and ruined by the fall; if you tarry till you're better, you will never come at all.  (Refrain) Come, ye thirsty, come, and welcome, God' free bounty glorify; true beliefs and true repentance, every grace that brings you nigh.  Let not conscience make you linger, nor of fitness fondly dream; all the fitness He requireth is to feel your need of Him.  (Refrain)

Saved by that body, saved by that blood, we are refreshed and give our thanks to God.  Salvation's given, God's only Son, by His dear cross and blood the victory won, and He was offered there for great and least, Himself the victim, Himself the priest.  The judge eternal, to whom, we bow, all nations at the last, is with us now.  Praise for the Father, praise to the Son, and praise to the Spirit, the Three in One. Come take the body, the victory won.

O sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things.  O sing to the Lord a new song!  Come, lift up your voice and sing!  O shout to the Lord all the earth!  Break forth into jubilant praise.  O shout to the Lord all the earth!  Rejoice in His glory and grace!  Let the sea resound, and all that is in it.  Let the rivers clap their hands.  Let the mountains sing together for joy!  O sing to the Lord a new song!  My life flows on in endless song; above earth's lamentations, I hear the sweet, though far off hymn that hails a new creation.  No storm can shake my inmost calm while to that Rock I am clinging.  Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth how can I keep from singing?  Through all the tumult and the strife, I hear the music ringing. It finds an echo in my soul, how can I keep from singing?  No storm can shake my calm while to that Rock I'm clinging Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth how can I keep from singing?

Here in this place, the new light is streaming, now is the darkness vanished away.  See in this space our fears and our dreamings, brought here to You in the light of this day.  Gather us in, the lost and forsaken; gather us in, the blind and the lame. Call to us now, and we shall awaken; we shall arise at the sound of Your name.  We are the young, our lives are a myst'ry; we are the old who yearn for Your face.  We have been sung throughout all of hist'ry, called to be light to the whole human race. Gather us in in, the rich and the haughty; gather us in, the proud and the strong.  Give us a heart, so meek and so lowly; give us the courage to enter the song.  Here we will take the wine and the water; here we will take the bread of new birth.  Here You shall call Your sons and Your daughters, call us anew to be salt of the earth.  Give us to drink the wine of compassion; give us to eat the bread that is You.  Nourish us well, and teach us to fashion lives that are holy and hearts that are true. Not in the dark of buildings confining, not in some heaven, light years away, here in this place the new light is shining; now is the kingdom, and now is the day.  Gather us in and hold us forever; gather us in and make us Your own.  Gather us in, all peoples together, fire of love in our flesh and our bone.

When earthly joys depart, teach me Your way.  In hours of loneliness, in times of dire distress, in failure or success, teach me Your way!  Teach me Your way, when storm clouds fill the skies.  Shine through the wind and rain, through sorrow, grief, and pain, make my pathway plain.  Long as my life shall last, teach me Your way.  Where'er my lot is cast, teach me Your way, Until the race is run, until the journey's done, until the crown is won, teach me Your way.  Lord, teach me Your way.

Beautiful Savior, King of Creation, Son of God, and Son of Man! Truly I'd love Thee; Truly I'd serve Thee, Light of my soul, my Joy, my Crown!  Fair are the meadows; Fair are the woodlands, Robed in flow'rs of blooming spring.  Jesus is fairer; Jesus is purer.  He makes the sorrowing spirits sing. Beautiful Savior, Lord of the nations, Son of God and Son of Man!  Glory and honor, Praise, adoration, Now and forever, forevermore be Thine!

All is well, all is well. Angels and men rejoice For tonight darkness fell into the dawn of love’s light, Sing alle, sing alleluia. All is well, all is well. Let there be peace on earth. Christ is come, go and tell That He is in the manger. Sing alle, sing alleluia. All is well, all is well. Lift up your voice and sing. Born is now Emmanuel, Born is our Lord and Savior. (Scott & Mary Farber, Musicians)

What kind of King would leave His throne In heaven to make this earth His home While men seek fame and great renown In loneliness our King comes down. Jesus, Jesus, precious One, How we thank you that You’ve come. Jesus, Jesus, precious One, A manger throne for God’s own Son. You left the sound of angels’ praise To come for men with unkind ways, And by this baby’s helplessness, the power of nations is laid to rest. What kind of King would come so small, From glory to a humble stall That dirty manger is my heart, too. I’ll make it a royal throne for You. Jesus, Jesus, precious One, How we thank you that You’ve come. Jesus, Jesus, precious One, A manger throne, my heart is a throne, My heart is a throne for God’s own Son.

Clip 8 - SPECIAL MUSIC                      “He Sent a Carpenter”      Sawyer Brown

(Scott & Mary Farber, Musicians)

In a manger filled with hay, the Virgin Mother’s baby lay While shepherds stood there trembling at the sight. This child was the King of Kings, but God who knows and sees all things Sent a simple man to show the world the light. He sent a carpenter, a carpenter to build His kingdom here. A carpenter, He sent a carpenter to build on faith, not fear. The proof lay in those nail-scarred hands So every heart would understand He sent a carpenter to build His kingdom here. His father’s house here on earth Was built on faith and by His works. It grew strong just like the rock it stood upon. Then God spoke to His only Son and told Him that His job was done When the last nail was finally driven home. He sent a carpenter, a carpenter to build His kingdom here. A carpenter, He sent a carpenter to build on faith, not fear. The proof lay in those nail-scarred hands So every heart would understand He sent a carpenter to build His kingdom here. The proof lay in those nail-scarred hands So every heart could understand He sent a carpenter to build His kingdom here. He sent a carpenter to build His kingdom here.

God of the watching ones, the waiting ones, the slow and the suffering ones, the angels in heaven, the child in the womb.  Grant us your healing peace, your gift of love, the hope of eternal life, the flower of Jesse, the rose yet to bloom.  We are the watching ones, waiting in the night for shadows to vanish, revealing wondrous light.  We are the hopeful ones, longing to see the Savior, the Son of Man who comes to set us free.  Come, long expected One, come promised One, Messiah. Come anointed One.  Come, Love's Son from heaven, divine incarnation, God's great mystery.  Come, set us free!  Set us free!

What can I give to Him, a heavenly King? What can I give to Him? I have nothing to bring, but I'll offer my heart when I kneel at the manger tonight. What can I give to Him, to honor His birth? What can I give to Him?  I have nothing of worth, but I'll offer my heart when I kneel at the manger tonight. If I were a shepherd boy, I would give Him a lamb.  If I were a mighty king, I would give Him a bright golden ring. But what can I give Him, I have nothing at all. What can I give to Him? Would my gift be too small if I offer my heart when I kneel at the manger tonight?

People look East. The time is near of the crowning of the year. Make your house fair as you are able, trim the hearth and set the table.  People look East, and sing today:  Love, the guest, is on the way!  Furrows, be glad.  Though earth is bare, one more seed is planted there:  Give up your strength the seed to nourish, that in course the flower may flourish.  People, look East, and sing today:  Love, the rose, is on the way!  Stars, keep the watch.  When night is dim, one more light the bowl shall brim, shining beyond the frosty weather, bright as sun and moon together.  People, look East, and sing today:  Love, the star, is on the way.  Angels announce to man and beast him who cometh from the East.  Set every peak and valley humming with the word, the Lord is coming.  People look East, and sing today:  Love, the Lord, is on the way!
